This all started because I wanted to do something special for my clients and continue to serve them well.
With my focus of working exclusively with couples, it’s usually engagements, weddings, and anniversaries that I do these days. Which means I don’t really do portrait sessions. But I’ve had past clients asking me more and more if I could make an exception as their families grow. I always felt bad saying “no”, so this year I came up with the best possible solution – a day of mini sessions! They were only made available to my past clients as a benefit for them. A custom holiday card design was created for them to choose, and again since it was commissioned exclusively for them it won’t be duplicated by anyone else. I also opened up our barn with some light refreshments for everyone to enjoy while they were waiting for their session time.
It was a little bit of a hectic day since I was basically on the go for a few hours straight, but I will pat myself on the back for adding in some buffer time between each one of my couples so that things transitioned really smoothly. It was a little gray and a little breezy, but I’m just happy that the rain that started the day was gone by the time we all started!
